2. WhatsApp: Save 082 046 8553 as a contact, send a message saying "status", and follow the prompts.
3. USSD Code: Dial \*120\*69277#** or **\*120\*3210#**, follow the menu options, and enter your ID number and phone number when prompted (https://sassa-status.co.za/?).
Your status may show Approved, Pending, or Declined, and payment dates vary each month. If approved, payments are made via bank deposit or CashSend at retailers like Shoprite, Checkers, USave, and Pick n Pay [ Sassa grant ].
